Hi Stingray Families,
Congratulations on a fantastic season and the win yesterday at home! It’s been wonderful to be back at our home pool. Thanks to all our swimmers who swam their hardest, all our fantastic parent volunteers, and a special thank you to our dedicated coaches.
Reminder about this week’s practice schedule
Monday, 7/24: Junior Champs, no AM or PM practice. AM & PM lessons WILL be held. The lesson instructor/assistant party will be held from 9:30-11:45am with lots of snacks!
Tuesday, 7/25: morning and evening practice and lessons as usual.
Wednesday, 7/26: Straehle, no AM practice, PM practice will be held as usual, for those that normally attend evening practice. AM & PM lessons will be held.
Thursday: 7/27: morning and evening practice and lessons as usual.
Friday, 7/28: our last Fun Friday and last practice – open to all swimmers!
We have 4 final events this week: Junior Champs, Straehles, Divisionals, and the Banquet. See below for more information and we’ll send out more updates as we receive them.
JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
The pool will open at 2:30pm and warm-ups are at 3pm. They will not let us in before 2:30pm. Thanks to everyone for filling the extra volunteer slots!
When: Monday, July 24th, 4pm
Where: Westminster Riding Club, 366 N. Colonial Ave, Westminster, MD 21157
STRAEHLE 2023
An email was sent out this morning about the Straehle entry reports, please refer to that for what events your swimmer is signed up for. As soon as we know team warm-ups and volunteer information, we will send out more information to participants. The meet starts at 9am and the relays are slated to start at noon. It’s a big place, so give yourself some time to get to the pool from the parking lot. The team will be covering the cost of the relays.
When: Wednesday, July 26th, 9am
Where: Padonia Park Club, 12006 Jenifer Rd, Cockeysville, MD 21030
DIVISIONALS
The line-up has been finalized and attached are the Divisional entry reports. Please refer to that for what events your swimmer is signed up for. The team will cover all Divisional fees. As soon as we know team warm-ups and volunteer opportunities, we will let you know.
When: Saturday, July 29, 9am
Where: Rollingwood Pool, 30 Balfred Rd., Catonsville, MD, 21228
END OF YEAR BANQUET
Our end of the season banquet is here and hope we see you all there! If you haven’t RSVP’d for the banquet yet, please do that by the end of Monday, July 24th. Don’t forget to bring your own chairs or blankets to sit on during the awards and dinner, as well as your own beverages. Swimmers should bring any unredeemed Stingray tokens to trade in!
The team will provide fried chicken, hot dogs, cake, and some drinks. Families are required to bring a side dish or dessert. Please sign up here as soon as possible. We ask families with five or more attending (including your swimmer/s), please sign up to bring TWO FAMILY SIZE items. Families with 1-4 people attending (including your swimmer/s), please sign up to bring at least ONE FAMILY SIZE item to share.
When: Saturday, July 29th, 5:30-8pm. Please get there a few minutes early, so the awards can begin promptly at 5:30.
Where: Westminster City Pool, home of the AMAZING Westminster Stingrays!
What to bring: chairs/blankets, drinks for your family, a side dish or dessert to share, any games swimmers want to play with after (the pool will be available).
