Court Rules (revised July 2019)

•For CSC members and their guests
•Guests can attend up to 3 times per month
•Courts are solely for tennis and pickleball
•No food or drink besides water
•Smoking is prohibited on pool grounds
•No pets allowed on Club property
•No bicycles, rollerblades, or skateboards
•Do not abuse nets or other equipment
•No profanity
•No camp chairs or other foreign objects on the court
•Lights must be out by 9 pm, and you must confirm that lights are out before leaving
•Continue to refer to this page for info about reserved times, group play, lessons, etc.

Off-Season and Off-Hours Access to the Courts

Our courts are locked with a Bluetooth-enabled lock that can be open with a smartphone app or smartwatch. To receive access:  
  1. Please review the court rules above.
  2. Email to let us know that you'd like access to the courts.
  3. You will receive an email directly from MasterLock with instructions on setting up an account and downloading the app. (Note that the MasterLock email with have a temporary password in it that some people have been overlooking.)
  4. Once you have the app installed, you should be good to go:
    • When you get to the gate, open the app on your phone, and press the button in the center of the lock to wake it up
    • The lock should then appear as visible in your app
    • Swipe the "Unlock" button and listen for the click (the lock also turns from blue to green, but that can be hard to see in the sunlight)

The Community Swim Club Tennis Program

The Community Swim Club offers private and group tennis lessons for players of all ages, taught by Tracy Biondi, tennis coach for Shady Side Academy Middle and High Schools.

Group lessons are daily (weather permitting) starting on [TBD for 2020], and are timed to follow swim team for members' convenience:

  • 13 years and older, 9:00 to 10:00

  • 10 to 12 years old: 10:00 to 11:00

  • 9 years and younger: 11:00 to 11:30

There is only a week-to-week commitment -- sign up in the Tennis Binder in the manager's office for those weeks that work for your family. Cost is a max of $10/day; exact price depends on number of participants.
