2020 AESC season suspended

AESC Team info

We are very happy that your family is interested in our club.  The AESC swim season is from June 1st through the last weekend of July.  Our league championships meet is the final Friday & Saturday in July and our annual team end of season picnic and awards is the Sunday immediately following championships.  Our registration begins annually on St. Patrick's Day, March 17 and ends May 15.  The annual fee is $125/swimmer, plus $8 for two latex or $21 for two silicone swim caps.  There is a $25 discount for additional siblings.  Our swimmer evaluations & practices will start for swimmers new to the team in the evenings after school the first week of June (times TBA).  The first full team practice will be the morning of the first day of June after school is dismissed for the summer.  Our regular season swim meets begin at 5:30pm.  We ask swimmers to arrive at 4pm for home meets and at 4:30pm for away meets, to allow them time to get ready, check-in for the meet and get their events from the line-ups posted in the campout area.  Warmups begin at 4:30pm for home meets and at 5pm for away meets.  Home meets must be completed by dark as we have no pool lighting available, and this holds true for most of the other teams pools that we visit as well.  Each family is required to fulfill 2 meet jobs during the season.  These usually last 1/2 of a meet, with breaks to watch your swimmer's events.  None of the jobs are difficult, but they are necessary for a successful meet and season.  Meet jobs are timers, scoring helper, ribbons, jobs check-in, clerk-of-course, runners, setup & cleanup.
