CST and Sint Maarten Aquatic Federation Hosts Island Wide Swim Camp

The Sint Maarten Aquatic Federation held an island-wide swim camp, composed of 36 swimmers from the three local swim clubs, including 18 swimmers from CST. These swimmers ranged in age from 8 to 17 years.

The four day camp, held at the Carib Swim Team pool in Cole Bay from Monday 3rd – Thursday 6th October, proved to be very educational, and all swimmers came out with a better understanding of swimming technique.

Local swimming coaches provided much of the learning experience, while Peter Prinsen of ProPhysio gave an excellent interactive talk about physical therapy and anatomy as applied to sport.

The camp was made possible through a grant from FINA, the international governing body of aquatic sports.
