Dr. Tim Trodd

The role of diet and how it impacts performance and wellbeing

Dr. Trodd qualified from The London Hospital Medical College in 1980 and took post graduate training in General Practice in Oxford. He arrived in Hong Kong in 1987 and we set up OT&P Healthcare in 1994. For the past 15 years he has been practicing Functional Medicine and have given advice to athletes across a range of sports. These athletes may be suffering from fatigue, injuries or would like advice on performance enhancement. In particular proper nutrition can help resilience and recovery and is one of the many variables that aid performance.

 

Camille Cheng
Hong Kong Olympic Swimmer

My journey to becoming an Olympic swimmer

Camille Cheng is a Hong Kong Olympic level swimmer, competing at the 2016 Rio Olympics, and is on track to compete again at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She was born in Hong Kong, attending French International School until moving to Beijing where she attended the International School of Beijing. After gradutating from ISB Camille attended and swam for the University of California, Berkley, becoming joint team captain in her final year, before gradutating with a degree in Psychology. Camille has won 5 Asian Games relay medals, and is one of a handful of Hong Kong female swimmers to have made Olympic A qualifying times. She now trains at the Hong Kong Sports Institute, and regularly gives back to the local swimming community outside of the pool as well.

 

Michael Fasching
HWI & SCAA Head Coach

The continued vision of the SCAA programme

Coach Michael Fasching is the Head Coach of the entire HWI and SCAA swimming programme. He works closely with our Performance Coaches Team to deliver the Competitive programme. He has over 30 years of swimming coaching experience in Hong Kong. He has represented Hong Kong as a coach on an international level a number of times including, Olympics (2016), Youth Olympics (2014), Asian Games (2006, 2014, 2018), World Chamionships (2015, 2017), and has been named Coach of the Year by the HKSCA 3 times. His most notable swimmers include Sabrina Kwok (2014 Asian Games), Hannah Wilson (2004, 2008, 2012 Olympics), Geoffrey Cheah (2016 Olympics), Siobhan Haughey (2016 Olympics).
