Nisky Rowing Fundraising

Fundraising is one of the most important activities of the Friends of Niskayuna Rowing - it is the only way to provide our athletes the resources they need to succeed while keeping program fees down! With your support, Niskayuna Rowing can purchase the boats and equipment that help our athletes learn, grow and achieve in practice and competition.

There are many ways you can help!  Keep an eye on this page for upcoming fundraising events or visit our Sponsorship page to see a list of sponsorship opportunities.  A few of our ongoing fundraising activities include:

  • 2018 Hoffman's Car Wash Fundraiser: SOONER OR LATER … everyone needs a Hoffman’s car wash!  The Niskayuna Rowing 2018 Hoffman's  Car Wash Fundraiser is now open!   Buy a few tickets right now and half the money will go to support Niskayuna Rowing. They make great gifts for the holidays! To buy tickets on-line or to print oout an order form to share with your friends, click here!
  • CLYNK: Your empties are full of opportunities for us!  Pick up a CLYNK bag from the Niskayuna Rowing Boathouse (or reach out and request one and we will drop it off) and use it to collect your redeemable bottles and cans.  When the bag is full, drop it off at the CLYNK bottle return at Hannaford to contribute the proceeds to Niskayuna Rowing.  Its as easy as that! 
  • Garage & Bake Sale / Bottle Drive: The Big Crew Garage Sale and Bottle Drive takes place each March at Niskayuna High School.  Our crew families donate items to sell, volunteer to help run the sale and of course, shop for bargains.
  • Mohawk Meltdown: Each March Niskayuna Rowing hosts the Mohawk Meltdown indoor rowing competition to cap off the end of our long winter training! This year the event featurs over 250 rowers of all ages.  Proceeds from the event and event sponsorships go toward the ongoing operation of the organization.  Visit the website for more information http://www.mohawkmeltdown.com/
  • Amazon Smile:  If you shop on Amazon, make sure that you log in using Niskayuna Rowing's Amazon Smile to support our team!
  • Niska-Day Booth: Our Modified teams run a game booth at Niska-Day in May of each year which provides an opportunity to increase our visibility in the community, recruit new athletes and of course raise funds to support the team.
  • Matching Gifts: Many employers such as GE match donations to non-profit organizations. Please contact your employer to determine if they participate, and obtain information about how YOUR gift can be DOUBLED by your employer.
