Thunder Water Polo Sponsorship Package

Thank you for your interest in participating in our fundraising event and most of all in our sport! North Texas Thunder Water Polo is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that was created in the spring of 2009 to bring year-round youth water polo to North Texas. The club has grown tremendously since then with over 300 members. Currently, we support four locations around the DFW metroplex; Southlake, Denton, Flower Mound, and Keller.

Our mission is to maximize an athlete’s skills and potential and to develop players of character from novice to the national level. The club’s program promotes a positive atmosphere that encourages self-esteem, hard work, and effort, physical fitness, teamwork and respect for self and others. I personally believe that the skills learned in the pool directly translate to our athlete’s lives.

I first became involved with the club over six years ago when my son, Zach (now a sophomore, playing water polo at California Baptist) discovered the sport. After his first practice, we were both hooked!  It was not long after he started playing that I became an involved parent and became the Thunder Board President. These past two years I have served dual roles with the club as a volunteer and as the Southlake practice location’s Head Coach! It is as a result of many different leaders over the years and the amazing parents that we that we currently have over 30 Thunder alums playing at the collegiate level.

As you can imagine, keeping a club of our size going requires many things. We are thankful for our amazing coaches, supportive communities and dedicated parent volunteers, but in 2018 are facing increased overhead costs. We have three goals that I need your help accomplishing this year:

  1. Fund our operations budget so we can keep our membership costs low

  2. Grow our Keller location which will, in turn, develop the Keller high school program

  3. Increase our college scholarships. Currently, we award two - $500 scholarships and with 10 or more of seniors graduating this year, we want to increase this number.

This document provides more detail on the ways you can be involved with us. I look forward to partnering with you. With your support, we will score a goal for the kids of Thunder Water Polo and raise awareness for this great sport!

With gratitude,

Keeley Lowery
Former Thunder President and Southlake Head Coach
