Fall Schedule

Starting Monday, August 16, we will be shifting to our fall practice schedule. Unfortunately, at this time, I do not know what that schedule looks like. I have submitted our lane requests to the City of Reno, but we have yet to receive our lane allocations. I will send out our fall schedule as soon as it is finalized.

The City of Reno is planning to keep Idlewild open through the end of September. We may have one schedule for the first six weeks and then change it once Idlewild shuts down. I wish we could provide a more consistent schedule throughout the year, but with the lack of aquatic facilities in Reno, we have to do our best in a challenging situation.

The Olympics in Tokyo start tomorrow! The swimming events are held during the first week. Click here for more information on how to watch the swimming events

Summer Championship Meets

Reno Aquatic Club will be concluding our 2020/2021 swim season at three different championship meets next weekend:

  • 5 swimmers competing at USA Swimming’s Future Championships in Santa Clarita, California.
  • 23 swimmers will be racing at the Senior Western Zone Championships in Clovis, CA.
  • 65 swimmers will be attending the High Country Championships in Minden.

It’s going to be a busy weekend of racing, but the coaching staff is excited for some fast swimming. USA Swimming’s racing year goes from September 1 through August 31, so these meets will mark the end of our 2020/2021 swim season.

As I receive more information for each meet, I will send an email with detailed information

Team Break

This year, the team break will be from Monday, August 2 through Sunday, August 15. There will be no practices offered during this break.
