RSTA presents the Kevin Coffey Spirit Award annually to a swimmer (or swimmers) on each team who participates regularly in practices and meets and who has exhibited exceptional team spirit, sportsmanship, reliability, and dedication to RSTA's goal of providing a positive swim experience for all swimmers. Reston Swim Team Association (RSTA) named Lyn Fiscus Cordts as the 2019 Kim Klarman Award recipient due to her unrelenting commitment to RSTA and to the Reston community at large. This award is presented each summer at the end-of-season RSTA All Star meet, where all eight of the swim teams in the RSTA league are represented. Week 7 (Dual Meet 6) Results Summary RSTA teams competed in their sixth and final dual meets of the 2019 season on Saturday, July 20. Records were broken across four of the eight RSTA teams this week. Following an extended delay due to a strong storm that rolled through, 330 swimmers participated in the RSTA Individual Medley (IM) Meet on Wednesday, July 17 at Lake Newport pool. At this annual meet, RSTA swimmers from all age groups compete in the 100 Meter Individual Medley, an event in which each swimmer swims 25 meters of each stroke in this order: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle.
