Lions Swim Academy competed at Bangkok Patana's Feeding Frenzy held in Thailand on 9th -11th December. A team of 21 swimmers made the plane journey. It was the Stamford American first athletics team to travel overseas since November 2019. The meet had 8 other travelling Singapore schools aswell as multiple teams from Vietnam and Thailand. Stamford American were in action on Friday 18th November at Nexus Wave Invitational Swim Meet held at Aljunied Road. Lions Swim Academy took 30 athletes by bus to compete against schools from Tanglin, St Joseph, North London and of course Nexus. On Saturday 12th November, 18 of our Lions Swim Academy athletes were competing in the ACSIS High School Swim Meet held at Nexus International School. There were 15 international schools from all over Singapore taking part and the standard was tough. The meet was swam short course (25m) over a range of events. Swimmers were racing for points, the top tanked 16 swimmers in each event would score for the end result. Stamford Lions Swim Academy competed over the weekend at the Canadian International School in West Singapore on Saturday 1st October. There were 24 student-athletes taking and for 13 of them it was their first time in a 50m long course pool. Swimmers arrived at 7:15am and over the course of the morning competed in 66 different races. There were a massive 59 personal bests (PB) swum, an impressive 89.39% PB rate. Lions Swim Academy hosted their first official meet on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September at Lincoln pool for the new academic year. There were 70 athletes that took part ranging from Elementary all the way to High School. On Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May, swimmers from Stamford American International school were blessed with beaming sunshine for their event held at Lincoln Pool. The swimming competition was held at another local Cognita school, AIS (Australian International School) on Friday 6th May to Sunday 8th May. Lions Swim Academy hosted their “Red & Blue Swim Meet” on Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th April at Lincoln pool of the Woodleigh Campus. The meet was split with Elementary aged students attending in the morning and Middle & High School students attending in the afternoon.
