News from the Board of Directors:

As we are planning for the 2019-2020 swim year, we wouldl like to talk to you about our CAT family.  It takes all of us and our talents to manage the team.  We are a parent managed swim team and are all volunteers.  We need more talent in the fundraising area of the team.  You won't be alone- we have resources, templates and contacts.  Please contact one of us on the Board or Big Show if you have any questions, interest, ideas or want to see how you can help. email: cat@clemsonaquaticteam.org

Coach's Corner
Hello CAT! Good Sunday evening to you all. I hope this weekend has been a really great one for you and your families so far. Lots to get to this week, please be sure to read through this carefully.
CASSL Meet #1 I'd like to congratulate our athletes that went and competed in the CASSL meet this past Saturday at Country Walk. From what I hear from the coaches and parents that were in attendance it was an awesome morning of swimming, fun and....backwards FLY???? Awesome Job all!!! The next CASSL meet will be July 13th, much more information to come as we get closer. Keep an eye out!
Practice Updates this Week:
Normal Workouts Monday-Wednesday.
NO PRACTICES Thursday for anyone. Happy 4th of July
No Friday Morning Practice. Normal PM Friday workouts (Senior Group 5:00-6:30pm at Fike)
Saturday Morning TBD, but plan on having a workout, details will be forthcoming.
State Meet and Grand Spree: Meet Information and event files are up on the website and available for all to see. The Grand Spree is open to ALL CAT swimmers, the state meet is a qualification based swim meet. If there are any questions please let me know.
Swimming: Is difficult, very very difficult. It is time consuming. Cold water, hot water, cold air, hot air, humidity, chemicals, bad skin, fried hair...the list goes on and on. I can promise you two things, that I know beyond a shadow of a doubt. #1 it is worth the sacrifice #2 it will reveal more about yourself and teach you more about yourself than almost any activity or sport you could get involved with. As student athletes, and that is exactly what you are, student athletes, we look not only UNTO ourselves, we must also look INTO ourselves...to see where we are and where we want to go.
#O.A.R. commit, grow, achieve. It's that simple...and impossibly difficult at the same time.
Stay Frosty,
Big Show
