Jonathan Mengering Head Coach
Andy Hwang Assistant Head Coach

Andy Hwang was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. Playing a variety of sports growing up, Andy finally chose swimming at the age of 12 and swam for Scott Bonine at Team Greenville. Andy got into coaching after college and worked with summer league teams, high school teams and Sportsclub Swim Club. After three years of coaching, Andy left Greenville and moved to join Big Show and the Clemson Aquatic Team as the Head Age Group Coach. In April of 2016, Andy won the 2015-2016 Age Group Coach of the Year. Andy is a passionate coach who cares very much for all athletes on the team. After joining CAT, Andy became a member of the South Carolina Age Group committee, as well as the South Carolina Diversity and Inclusion committee. He has attended many state and zones camps as a member of South Carolina swimming. As Andy is entering his 5th year of coaching, he is hoping to grow more as a coach from working with athletes of all levels and ages. Andy is a Carolina Hurricanes hockey fan, a Baltimore Ravens fan and of course, a Tigers fan.

Grayce Howard Assistant Coach

Grayce Howard has been swimming since she was seven years old. She joined the CAT coaching team to help young people learn and grow in the sport she loves. She is a "Bridge to Clemson" student seeking a degree from Clemson in engineering.

Cristina Oropesa HydroTigers Coach
Frances Schueren HydroTigers Coach

Frances is a current student at Clemson University (go tigers!) studying Food Science and Technology, and she is from Philadelphia, PA (go birds!). She started swimming competitively when she was four years old and didn’t stop until I graduated high school. Frances began her coaching career teaching swimming lessons when she was 15 and realized she loved teaching kids how to swim as much as she loved swimming myself. She has been at CAT since May 2018 and is looking forward to years to come.

Lindsey Little Lead Juniors Coach

Lindsey’s family knew of her love of water from a very young age and she began swimming competitively with the Decatur Swim Club in Decatur, IL when she was seven years old. Her first experience coaching was with DSC while in high school which is when she realized her love of teaching strokes and skills to young swimmers. After high school, Lindsey swam for the University of Illinois where she still holds a couple of top 10 records. Lindsey put her coaching ambitions on hold after getting married and moving frequently with the Army, but got back into it while living in Kansas in 2015. She most recently coached for the Manhattan (KS) Marlins Swim Team, Team Greenville, and Greenville Splash Masters before joining CAT in April 2018.

Outside of swimming, Lindsey enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Ben, and three dogs, Dory, Daisy, and Rizzo. She also loves reading, baking, and attempting DIY projects around the house.
