Sports Medicine and Injuries:

Swim Charleston believes in injury prevention. However, if you suspect your child may have been injured in or out of the pool, we recommend that you consider seeing a sports medicine specialist.  We are happy to facilitate these referrals to the MUSC Sports Medicine Program (including Orthopaedics, Primary Care Sports Medicine, and Physical Therapy healthcare specialists.)  More information about the MUSC Sports Medicine Program is available here: www.MUSChealth.org/sports .

During Fall Sports Season,  a walk-in sports injury clinic is available in Mt Pleasant (Saturday mornings through November 5th).

If you have questions or want help scheduling an appointment, please contact Coach Doug ([email protected]) or any one of our Swim Charleston coaching staff members.  We will need the following information to best assist you:  athlete’s full name, date of birth, type of injury, and parent contact information.

Please immediately report all injuries sustained while at the pool to a lifeguard. For medical emergencies, please call 911 or go directly to the closest Emergency Room.
