TECHNICAL FOCUS: Turns and finishes and threshold

COMMUNITY SERVICE: Our pink cap fundraiser to support Hollings Cancer Center began in August and concluded in October. This year we raised  $240 .  We are currently creating cards for hospitalized children. Please turn these in at practice by mid-January

Swim Charleston is committed to developing swimmers and empowering them to lead. Our year round competitive swim team offers high quality professional coaching and technical instruction for ages 4-19. We operate as a non-profit club and we are run by a Board of Directors which meets regularly and receives help from the Parent Advisory Committee. Young swimmers under the age of eight must be able to swim at least 25 yards of freestyle and 25 yards of backstroke. Older swimmers should have experience with all four competitive strokes.

We use the most curent technological tools to help our swimmers improve from Swim Talkers to Tempo Trainers to Video Analysis.

We seek to provide every participant on our team an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability while building leadership skills and learning valuable life lessons. Our educator coaches have an average of more than 12 years experience coaching young swimmers.

Our unique and consistent teaching progression will help every swimmer to build self-confidence. We have announced three locations for 2018-19: Wild Dunes (6 lanes), Daniel Island (6 lanes), and Ion (8 lanes). All are beautiful outdoor heated pools and we are very grateful for these partnerships!

Each youth year-round swimmer will receive 3 silicone caps and 3 t-shirts each year.

Swim Charleston requires 30 days written notice of cancellation. As a non-profit we pass on all processing fees to our membership to ensure that funds collected go directly to facility fees and salaries.
