Nicole Kloet Masters Coach

Coach Nicole is new to Southern California and the Nadadores team.  She moved here from Wisconsin in May of 2018.  She is currently employed full time as a Lifeguard Manager with Premier Aquatics, where she also teaches Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid, and Water Safety Instructor classes.

Her undergraduate degree is from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania in Secondary Education and French and her Master's Degree is from Western Kentucky University in Facility, Sport and Event Management. She was a competitive swimmer in high school until a knee injury prevented her from continuing to swim competitively.  After 10 years away from competitive swimming, she is excited to be back in the pool.

Recently, she has started competing as a triathlete. Nicole has been teaching swim lessons for about 5 years and has experience coaching beginning triathletes, US Navy swimmers, and age group swimmers.  Her favorite thing about coaching is watching swimmers make progress in the efficiency and technique of their strokes.

She is looking forward to being more involved with the Nadadores swim team and competing in Master's Swim Events.

Mo Hassan Masters Coach/Adult Swim Instructor

Mohamed Hassan (Coach Mo) is new to the United States and the Nadadores Team. He relocated from Egypt in 2020, where he was part of the Long Distance Egyptian National Team. In 1997, Mo shifted to Mono Fin Swimming and finished 7th in the 20k at the 2003 World Championships. He was also the head coach for the Egyptian National team for Fin Swimming for 17 years from 2003-2022.

Mo won first place in his first participation at the Mission Mile competition with the Nadadores Masters in the 40-44 age group. Coach Mo has two daughters - Maya age 13 and Diala age 11. Maya is a great swimmer in Egypt and Diala is a fantastic diver. He hopes that one day his girls will come to United States and join the Nadadores team.

Mo is also coaching at the Nadadores Swim School and feels honored to be part of the effective and and professional coaches in the Nadadores coaching family. Mo would like to thank everyone and especially Coach Mark for giving him the opportunity to be part of the great Nadadores!

Robert Mitchell Masters Coach/Adult Swim Instructor

Coach Robert joins MVN with a long history of swimming accomplishments.  After a successful age group and high school swimming experience in Orange County, he was recruited to swim at UC Santa Barbara.  A few years later, he turned his love for swimming into a privately owned swim school located here in Mission Viejo.  Teaching swimming to young swimmers is a passion for Robert and he vaulted this with starting his own swim team, Aliso Hills Swim Ranch.  During this time, he was selected as a coach for the Southern California Swimming (SCS) All-Star Team for five years and received the US Swim Schools Association (USSSA) Teacher of the Year in 1994.  He realized he had an expertise in meet management and focused on this endeavor for the past 25 years, administering meets in all facets for Southern California, and throughout the United States, including age group, high school, college, and US Masters Swimming.

While conducting the technical side of swimming, Robert developed the SwimWorks software and SwimPhone.com website, but realized his true passion was teaching and coaching.  Robert returned to coaching at MVN as a Masters coach in 2021 and he was quickly recruited to join the MVN Junior Teams and Swim School staff.

When not coaching, teaching, or conducting swim meet management, Robert trains and competes in swimming.  In July 2022, he competed at the UANA Pan American Masters Championships in South America and earned a Silver and Bronze medal while proudly representing MVN Masters.  His son was an All-American High School and College Water Polo Player, and his 89-year-old father still competes as a USMS Masters Swimmer.
Eileen Span Masters Coach
Tim Sutton Masters Coach/Adult Swim Instructor

Originally from suburban Chicago, Tim defined his swimming career at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, leading the Tar Heels to a 1983 title, their first ACC Championship in 19 years…while pursuing his degree in Television Production Arts.
Garnering 1984 Olympic Trials qualifying time standards, he instead chose to pursue his tv sports career, and accepted an ABC Sports production job for the US Swimming & Diving Trials and Olympic Games. That began a 40-year journey directing and producing TV Sports across America and around the world.
Additionally, he coached club level and high school swimmers in the early 1980’s and periodically coached both age group and master level swimmers - while personally training and competing in Triathlons from 1988 through today. In 2021, he achieved a bucket-list highlight, completing the Escape From Alcatraz triathlon.
In the winter of 2023, he became a Certified Adult-Learn-to-Swim instructor through the Mission Viejo Swim School and US Masters Swimming.
