To: Current/Former PALM Swimmers, Parents and Coaches

It is with a humble heart and GREAT EXCITEMENT that I announce today the merger of Palmetto Aquatics Year-Round Swim Team into the newly formed Gamecock Aquatics.  I will be stepping down as Head Coach and dissolving the swim club that I developed and owned for 21 years.  During this time, I have had an incredible opportunity to work with the best coaches, swimmers and families in the world.  I still believe in the mission of developing the youth of today into quality adults and strongly believe in the role mentorship plays in the coaching world.  We had plenty of fast swims, state titles, state records, national qualifiers, etc.  However, it is the relationships and experiences with PALM swimmers, coaches, and parents, that I will cherish most.  

I am thrilled and honored to be able to work as a Gamecock Aquatics Assistant Coach under Program Directors Jeff Poppell and Robert Pinter.  I have full confidence that they will create a swim program unlike anything that Columbia swimming families have ever seen.  And it does my heart good that the base of this foundation will be PALM swimmers and their families!  Change is a part of life, and I am excited for this new change!  

To anyone that has ever been a part of PALM…. you will always be one of my PALM swimmers.  Thank you for the many great years and memories!
