Who can join?

Anyone who is interested in swimming and is the age of 5-18 years old. The team offers instruction for all levels with the following minimum  requirements and coaches approval.

Age 5-8:

The swimmer will be asked to swim two laps in the competition pool. One lap ( 25 yards ) of freestyle and one lap of backstroke. The coach will observe them to see how well they know these two strokes and see if they can swim the length of the lane without stopping.

Age 9-10:

This is an advanced beginner level group and the swimmer will be expected to know all four major strokes ( butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle ) legally. They will also be expected to know racing dives and flip turns.

Age 11-12:

In this intermediate/advanced group, the swimmer will be expected to know all four major strokes ( butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle ) legally. The swimmer should be able to swim 100 yards of each stroke and  5 - 100 freestyle @ 1:40 min.

Age 13-18:

Swimmers in these groups must have previous swim team experience and are expected to know all four major strokes ( butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle ) legally. The swimmer should be able to swim 100 yards of each stroke and 8 - 100 freestyle @ 1:30 min.

 

 

How do I start?

The team swims year-round and has open enrollment. Contact your pool rep to schedule a tryout. When your tryout is completed you will be directed to our website to complete our online registration. Once your online registration is completed and is confirmed by the team, you may begin swimming.

 

 

What is the cost?

AAA is a non-profit organization and all fees are used to support and maintain a high quality level of swimming. Dues are collected on monthly basis and range from $105-$170 depending on the level. Discounted quarterly payments are available.

AAA Team Registration - $75

U.S.S Registration - $30 to $82, TBD after tryout.
