Upcoming Swim Meet   We have our team hosted swim meet this weekend. It’s never too early to start thinking about contribution hours. If you haven’t signed up already consider checking out the job signup to see if there is anything you can help with.

Board of Directors  As mentioned in previous newsletters, Heather Difulvio and Jen Hendrex have stepped down from the BOD this spring after many years of service.  The Secretary role has been filled by Deborah Parrales (that’s why you see my name attached to this newsletter) In addition, we would like to welcome our two new board members, Barry Bulow and Dyana Jones. Both of these individuals bring a lot of skill and experience and we are excited to have them!

Swim Swap   Got Gear? How about extra gear?  On Saturday June 8thfrom 7:00-4:00 and Sunday June 9thfrom 7:00-2:00 during our swim meet we will be collecting new or gently used swim gear (fins, kickboards, sweatshirts, t-shirts, etc.) to be used in our Swim Swap later this summer. Please contact Caron Olsen for additional details at caronolsen@yahoo.com

Parade  Join us in the Summerlin Parade! We will be marching as a team in the 4th of July Summerlin Parade for the 2nd year.  We need to hear from you if your swimmer, or even the entire family, wants to walk with us. We understand that summer plans are constantly evolving and changing, but there is very specific planning that goes into our team participating in this event, and we need to have an idea of numbers. Please contact Deborah at depa72@msn.com or Emily at emjean62@hotmail.com if you are interested. To show our unity we will be wearing our LVSC shirts, preferably the color green.  If you need to update your LVSC gear for the parade please plan to visit our Team Store in advance.

Also parade participants must attend a mandatory meeting which be held at the Pavilion Pool June 27th at 5:30. At this meeting we will discuss very important things, such as our transportation and parking plan. This actually involves similar skills it takes to solve a high school Algebra problem, so we need all the input we can get!

Summer League   If you have a swimmer participating in Summer League please plan to attend one of the following meetings listed below. The coaching staff will be introduced at this time and there will be a discussion about what to expect at the swim meets.

Friday, June 7@ 5:30pm or Tuesday, June 11@ 4:00pm

Congratulations Cardinali Family!   When you see Gold 2’s Jacob Cardinali congratulate him on becoming a big brother for the 2nd AND 3rd time. The Cardinalis welcomed future swimmers, Gianna and Dominic into the world on Monday.
