DESCRIPTION Swimmers in Gold 1 have some competitive swimming experience. The focus of this group is to refine and continue to develop the swimmer’s skills. Conditioning and endurance training are also introduced. All of the swimmer’s other activities, such as soccer, baseball, dance, etc. are encouraged. Swimmers generally compete in SBSC hosted inter-squad and sanctioned invitational meets and are encouraged to attend at least 3-4 practices offered each week. More experienced swimmers generally compete in local "BRW" level swim meets.  Progression to the next level is based on age (Senior White) or achievement (Senior Development).
FUNDRAISING Gold 1 will be responsible to participate in one major fundraising activity per quarter of the team year. Fundraising activities are used to meet the team's budgetary needs to support team operations. Quarters 1, 2, and 3 will consist of smaller fundraisers with the equivalent of $30 fundraising/donation required each quarter. Quarter 4 will consist of our largest fundraiser the Swim-A-Thon, sponsored by USA Swimming. $75 per swimmer is the minimum required for the Swim-A-Thon event. The total minimum fundraising requirement for the year is $165.
