USA Swimming announced today the 200 clubs that will be recognized as Gold, Silver, or Bronze medal clubs in the program, which recognizes the organization’s highest-performing clubs in the development of athletes ages 18 years and younger on an annual basis. SOCAL: Platinum and Servite High School swimmer Alex Kowalski committed to being a student-athlete at Cal Baptist University. Alex recently moved to Socal from NOVA and they should get most of the credit for Alex's success but he is the seventh Socal grad to attend Cal Baptist and the second in two years. Socal has always been a place aquatic athletes could train, whether it's swimming, water polo, triathlons, or synchronized swimming. Bayley Weber, who has trained at Socal for the last ten years, was a member of the USA Women's water polo team that won the World Championships last week in Budapest. Kayla Kashima, also a long-time Socal swimmer, finished nineteenth in the 16-19 age group at the Triathlon World Championships in Montreal this past June. Great job, girls, and keep on swimming!
