Organization
SCA is a 501-C3 non-profit organization. We derive our funds from membership dues and fundraising events such as hosting swim meets and our annual sca-a-thon. We use these funds primarily on facility rent, coaching costs, swimmer incentives, and social functions for the swimmers. We hold several social events throughout the year to provide a social atmosphere outside the pool environment to encourage team bonding and hopefully long lasting friendships. We elect a Board of Directors in the fall of each year. Our board members are elected for a two year period, so half of the board members are elected each year. The Board of Directors then elects a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The Head Coach also serves as a member of the board of the organization and is assisted by a Team Administrator. You can find a list of our current Board of Directors and Coaching Staff on our website. Board meetings are held at least once a month and are open to all parents. The time and location of the meeting is determined by the President. The Board may also call additional periodic meetings as needed. We depend on the strong involvement from our team members and parents.
