PRE-SENIOR 1

Age: 13-14

Purpose: Advanced skill development, process focused, increased training volume, intro to senior level training

Practice Attendance: up to 7 practices a week (min. 5/7)

Meet Attendance: compete at local, regional, sectional, and national meets

Description: Pre-senior 1 swimmers get into more detail and commitment regarding race strategies, pacing, body awareness in and out of the water, nutrition and hydration, recovery, and ownership. They are offered a morning practice as their 7th option. Some may also be invited to Crossfit training. These swimmers have a high commitment level mentally and physically.

Equipment: water bottle, kick board, snorkel, fins, pull buoy, paddles (ask coach which size)
