Spring JOs

Congratulations to all Swim Torrance Spring JO swimmers. We had 20 total compete in individual races and relays! Last year we only had 9, which is a huge improvement!

Shark & Age Group:
Shark had Auggie representing in the 100 backstroke. It was his first experience at JOs, and he went a lifetime best! Way to go Auggie!

Age Group had three girls in individual races throughout the meet. Janna had 4 lifetime bests in individual races, and Bella also bested her 50y butterfly by going under :30 for the first time! The girls 400 FR relay had everyone at a lifetime best in their 100 FRs, and the relay dropped over 8 seconds! The Age Group boys had some great experience in the relays as well, with the 400 Medley relay dropping over 5 seconds!

Parents did a phenomenal job cheering and supporting everyone in attendance. There was a lot going on, especially during the relays at finals, and you guys were great ambassadors for our team. Our coaches sat near the Deck Marshalls all weekend, and we saw some pretty outrageous things. We're so glad you are wonderful examples of how parents should act for their swimmers and team! -Coach Kimi

PreSenior:
The PreSeniors did a great job at this year’s Spring JO’s! We had 7 more swimmers qualify than last year, including 4 relays and one swimmer earning the opportunity to represent Swim Torrance in finals. Not only was it great to see more Torrance athletes in the pool, but it was great watching those athletes confidently race against some of the best athletes in California and the country. As our team grows and develops, it is awesome to watch our athletes excel in the water, and more importantly, have a confident mindset behind the blocks.

Congratulations to all Swim Torrance athletes that participated at our Spring JO Meet! -Coach Rachael
