There is new information and frequently asked questions for applicable adults, one-on-one interactions, social media, travel, locker rooms, messages, and athlete protection training. Minor Athlete Progtection Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP)
Starting June 23rd all athletes that are 18 or older should complete the athlete protection training. Athletes that are 17 and will be turning 18 need to complete prior to their 18th birthday. Athletes must take three courses and complete the survey, instructions are provided on the link. This training can be found at: Athlete Protection Training

USA Swimming is committed to fostering a fun, healthy, and safe environment for all its members, and in 2010, it formally implemented a comprehensive Safe Sport program to respond to and prevent instances of abuse and misconduct within the sport of swimming. Since then USA Swimming Safe Sport has worked tirelessly to educate members, put policies in place, and empower LSCs and clubs to create the best possible environments for all members.
Full implementation of the Safe Sport Program involves six key components:
1. Policies and Guidelines
2. Screening and Selection
3. Training and Education
4. Monitoring and Supervision
5. Recognizing, Responding, and Reporting
6. Grassroots Engagement and Feedback
Activity Book for Young Swimmers
Inspired by "Highlights" magazine, the Safe Sport activity book is designed for kids ages 6-11, but there's something for everyone! The activity book has coloring pages, a word search, connect-the-dots, matching games, and more.
Parents, coaches, and swimmers will be able to use the books to start a conversation about positive team culture, maintaining an environment of support and safety, and all the reasons to love the sport of swimming!
