Masters FAQ:
Q: Is this program only for great swimmers?
A: No. Practices are designed to accommodate a wide range of ability levels while following a structured training plan designed by our coaches. You may find novice swimmers all the way to highly competitive swimmers and triathletes in any typical practice.
Q: Are practices mandatory?
A: No. Come to practice as you please. Masters swimming is more of a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere than most age group or collegiate programs.
Q: Can I try a practice before I commit?
A: Yes. You are welcome to swim a couple of practices to make sure our program is what you have in mind.
Q: Is the USMS fee required?
A: Yes. The $51 USMS fee is an annual fee paid online at www.usms.org. This means you will register for USMS online and then will register separately with PCST. For insurance purposes, every Masters swimmer MUST be registered with USMS.
Q: Where is Frank Brown Park?
A: Frank Brown Park is located on U.S Highway 98 in Panama City Beach. The address of the pool is 16200 Panama City Beach Parkway, Panama City Beach, FL. 32413.
Q: Do I have to be a member of the Aquatic Center to join?
A: No. If you plan to use the pool outside of normal practice hours you will need a membership to the Aquatic Center.
A: Recommended equipment includes but is not limited to: Suit, Goggles, Cap, Fins, Paddles, Pull Buoy, and Kickboard. These items can be found at our team vendor, Swim and Tri, for a discounted price using the team membership codes.
A: Yes, we welcome visiting USMS swimmers. We do ask that you bring a copy of your USMS registration card.
