Summer Splashes @ Frank Brown Park
This page is for Summer Splashes Participants who will be practicing at Frank Brown Park.  If you will be practicing at Mosely High School, check out the Summer Splashes @ Mosely High School Page!
Practice Schedule:
Swimmer Placements:
After registration your swimmer will need to be placed in the most appropriate practice group.  This will be decided through an evaluation of your swimmer’s current skills in the water. There will be three days of group placements offered at Frank Brown Park or at Mosley High School.   Each swimmer must attend one of these placement days (remember to bring your suit and goggles!).  Placements are beneficial for all registrants to make sure we have them in the correct group and program
Swimmer Placement Dates: TBA
Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted
Please Remember:
  • ALL Summer Splashes Swimmers are required to attend one day of placements.
  • If you are unsure if your child should be Summer Splashes or Lessons, please attend a Placement Trial to determine the appropriate program
  • Be sure to bring your suit and goggles!
  • The placement will only take about 5 minutes per swimmer.  Swimmers may arrive anytime during the hour long window for placements and may leave after their placement.

Were you unable to join us for a placement?
That's OK!  We do placements on the first day of practice if you were unable to make any of the early placement dates.  Make sure you tell your site director that your swimmer has not been placed yet so they can help guide you appropriately.
Practices - Miscellaneous:
Use the following tips to help make the practices easier for you and your swimmer
  • Wear waterproof sunscreen!  The sun shines bright and there is no shade over the pool itself
  • Wear goggles: tinted goggles are highly recommended! SCUBA style masks or anything that covers the nose is NOT recommended
Inclement Weather
Summer Splashes will adhere to the PCST Inclement Weather Policy.  Please be sure to check your email before leaving for practice on days where inclement weather is likely.  If there is not an email explicitly cancelling practice, it is safe to assume that we will attempt to hold practice.
At FBP the decision to clear the pool in inclement weather rests with the Aquatic Center Staff.  They will announce via the PA, Alarm System, or Lifeguards when all pool patrons must clear the pool and the pool deck.  Swimmers, Coaches, and Parents will make their way under the cover of the buildings during the inclement weather.  The Deck Supervisor will announce to the group if there is to be any changes or cancellations for the remaining practice time.  The Aquatic Center Staff shall be the authority on returning safely to the water.
For Summer Splashes we DO NOT offer make up practices
