Cason Forst has become the fourth and final GPAC senior to commit to swim for a college team next season as he gave his verbal commitment to Old Dominion Univerity in Norfolk, VA. As of now, all currently active senior swimmers on GPAC will swim collegiately next fall.

“I’m ecstatic to be able to continue my swimming career at Old Dominion,” said Cason. “I want to thank everyone who has supported me through the years to make this happen.”

Cason has been a member of GPAC for five years, coming up through the program from spring clinic, to summer league, to full-time team member. He has been a perennial Southeastern championship qualifier since 2016 and is also a multi-season sectional championship qualifier. Cason is also on the team record books for the newly established Senior 400-yd freestyle relay record set in February of 2019, and as a part of the 13-14 boys' 400-yd freestyle relay set in 2016.

Cason will add great depth to the Monarchs’ mens’ team in the butterfly and breaststroke events, but his training background with the GPAC program will allow for versatility to compete in the middle-distance freestyle races as well.

GPAC is proud of Cason and his accomplishments through his academics and his swimming, and knows that he well-prepared to take his swimming to the next level and will be a tremendous asset to his college team.
