WANTED: Digital Content Coordinator for HTB

Ever wondered who take care of the website and enewsletters for the Highlands Trailblazers Ski Club?  It's a volunteer and we are looking for a new volunteer for the 2021/2022 ski season.

Does this count against volunteer service hours? Absolutely!

How many hours a month does the role entail?

  • Two hours per month for the newsletter, which is distributed 12x per year (more frequently in the winter with a two month hiatus in the summer).

  • Two to three hours per month on the website. Including weekly updates during the fall and winter ski season and monthly updates during the spring and summer.

  • Approximately 60+ hours for the season

What's involved?

  • Creating the newsletter including soliciting key topics from Board representative and gathering content from various contributor

  • Updating the website and adding pages for programs and events; quarterly demoting old content

  • Gathering photos from team leaders and parents to support key content areas for the website and newsletter, and saving to Club’s Google Drive.

  • Making edits to photos (crops, adding copy, image quality, etc)

What experience is needed?

  • Ability to manage enewsletter and develop content using Mailchimp

  • Proofreading all newsletter content prior to distribution to 350+ Club members

  • Graphic design using Illustrator or other visual design program

  • Copywriting focused on action oriented, informative content

  • Ability to manage content on HTB website, ideally with experience on Team Unify. HTML skills and Drupal are an asset. 

  • Instagram and Facebook experience
