ORANGE GROUP - Coach Patty Sullivan
The Orange group is for beginning swimmers with a focus on learning skills in an environment that is fun and supportive for these athletes.
Training Schedule: MW or TTh practice group options. 4:00-4:40pm, or 4:50-5:30pm.
Practice Location: Cameron Park CSD pool
Monthly Fee: $125/month
Attendance Requirement: There are no attendance requirements for this group. Swimmers may attend any/all practices on their designated registration days (MW or TTh).
Meet Expectations: Meets are not mandatory for this group, but are encouraged when the swimmer feels comfortable. Swimmers may enter meets designated for the Orange group on the team schedule per coach approval.
Orange group entrance expectations:
- Ability to swim 12 ½ yards of freestyle, and 12 ½ yards of backstroke without stopping.
- Maturity to listen to directions in a small group, coach directed, environment.
Orange group emphasis:
- Introduction to breastroke and butterfly, further development of freestyle and backstroke.
- Introduction to dives and proper racing starts through a series of progressions.
- Creating a positive, fun, first time team experience for the swimmers.
