SPA Swim America Policies & Procedures

Placement Class

  • All swimmers must attend a Placement Class before registering for SPA SwimAmerica lessons.
  • At the Placement Class, your swimmer will be evaluated by our instructors and receive a level assignment.
  • Once you have the level assignment for your swimmer, you may go online and register for your preferred class/day/time that matches your swimmer(s)’ age and placement level.

Cancellation Policy - Prior to you first class

  • All cancellations must be made at least three (3) days prior to the start date of your swimmer's class(es). You will receive a refund minus a $20.00 Administrative Fee per swimmer.

Class Cancellation Policy

  • Please know that SPA SwimAmerica rents our pool SPA from the Sienna Residential Association (SRA). This means there may be times we need to cancel, combine or move class venue in order to accommodate other pool users.
  • We reserve the right to cancel, combine or move class venue at any time. In the event the SPA SwimAmerica cancels a class, you will either be offered a makeup class, or you will not be charged any fees for the class we cancel.
  • Should a class be cancelled due to inclement weather, SPA SwimAmerica will try to offer a makeup class in the same month. If a makeup class cannot be added, your account will be credited for the fees of the cancelled class.
  • In the event of a class cancellation or change of location, you will receive an email notification. Please note that while we try to give as much notice as possible, the weather and pool maintenance can be unpredictable, and email is our only way to send notifications. Please save the new scheduler email address to your contacts to ensure that you receive updates, and check your email often.

Makeup Policy

  • Unless SPA SwimAmerica cancels a class due to inclement weather, pool available from SRA, or other hazardous conditions, attendance in scheduled classes is the responsibility of the participants.
  • We do NOT provide refunds, makeup classes or allow the participant to attend a different class due to personal schedule conflicts or illness.
  • While we understand that illness cannot be predicted, please understand the spot has been reserved for your child and cannot be booked by another student with such short notice.

Registration & Tuition Fees

  • Tuition is charged on a monthly basis in advance, based on the number of lessons scheduled in that month.
  • Tuition examples as follows (private lessons ages 3 & over, semi-private ages 4 & over, group ages 5 & over):
    • Group Lessons $18 per lesson
    • Semi Private Lessons $25 per lesson
    • Private Lessons $45 per lesson
  • Once you are enrolled, your child or children will be in lessons until we receive written notice indicating you wish to withdraw.
  • Your first payment is due at the time of registration. Auto draft is required and payments will be automatically withdrawn from your account on the first business day of the month.
  • Other than where noted in the Cancellation Policy, all payments are non-refundable. Per our Class Cancellation Policy, make-up lessons or account credits will be given where appropriate in the event that SPA SwimAmerica has reason to cancel lessons. Account credits will be valid for 12 months.
  • A registration fee of $55.00 per child is required and is paid once every 12 months.
  • You may change your child(ren)'s regular class day or time at any time as long as there is space in another class. To request your class change, please email [email protected]. All requests must be in an email format in order to formally change your child's class schedule.

Withdraw Procedure

  • If your swimmer(s) has not yet begun classes, please email [email protected] to cancel your registration with our program. This request must be made at least three (3) days prior to your first scheduled class.
  • If your swimmer(s) has already begun classes and you would like to withdraw from our program, please email your request to [email protected] by the 15th of the month before your wish to stop swimming. For example, if you want to stop swimming for the month of August, you will need to send your email request prior to July 15th. If we are not notified by the designated time, you are obligated to pay for the next month of classes.
  • Accounts can only be suspended for a whole calendar month at a time. We do not prorate or do partial months of lessons except when you first register for the program. When you choose to suspend your account, your child will be removed from his/her class.
  • When you would like to return to SPA SwimAmerica after you suspend your account, please email your request to [email protected] and your account will be activated. Then you can simply enroll in an available class. There will be no additional registration fees as long as it falls within 12 months of your prior registration.

Photo Policy

  • Please understand that photos are occasionally taken by staff at SwimAmerica classes and events. Any photo taken of your child may be used for SPA SwimAmerica purposes, including, but not limited to website, print brochures, or advertising for SPA SwimAmerica.
  • In order to protect the privacy of every child at the pool, we ask that parents do not take videos or photographs during lessons.

Pool Deck Policy

  • Due to insurance and liability reasons, only staff and registered lesson participants are allowed on the pool deck.
  • Spectators (parents, grandparents, siblings, etc) are welcome to bring chairs and set up outside the fence and cheer on their swimmers as they master amazing new skills!! Parents are also welcome to wait in their vehicles, but are asked to be back outside the gate by the end of lesson time for pick up.
  • A staff member will let your swimmer know when it is time to come in the gate for lessons and get them to their coach. At the conclusion of lessons, your swimmer will meet you back at the gate.
