SPA Swim America Policies & Procedures
Please read the following policies carefully. These policies may be changed at any time without notice.
Class Cancellation Policy
- Please know that SPA SwimAmerica rents pool space from the Sienna Residential Association (SRA). This means there may be times we need to cancel, combine or move class venue in order to accommodate other pool users.
- We reserve the right to cancel, combine or move class venue at any time. In the event SPA SwimAmerica cancels a class, you will either be offered a makeup class, or you will receive a credit for the cancelled class.
- Should a class be cancelled due to inclement weather, SPA SwimAmerica will try to offer a makeup class in the same month. If a makeup class cannot be added, your account will be credited for the fees of the cancelled class.
- In the event of a class cancellation or change of location, you will receive an email notification. Please note that while we try to give as much notice as possible, but the weather and pool maintenance can be unpredictable.
Makeup Policy
- Unless SPA SwimAmerica cancels a class due to inclement weather, pool availability from SRA, or other hazardous conditions, attendance in scheduled classes is the responsibility of the participants.
- We do NOT provide refunds, makeup classes or allow the participant to attend a different class due to personal schedule conflicts or illness.
- While we understand that illness cannot be predicted, please understand the spot has been reserved for your child and cannot be booked by another student with such short notice.
Termination Policy
- If your swimmer(s) has not yet begun classes, please email [email protected] to cancel your registration with our program. This request must be made at least three (3) days prior to your first scheduled class.
- If your swimmer(s) has already begun classes and you would like to withdraw from our program, please email your request to [email protected] by the 15th of the month before your wish to stop swimming. For example, if you want to stop swimming for the month of August, you will need to send your email request prior to July 15th. If we are not notified by the designated time, you are obligated to pay for the next month of classes.
- Accounts can only be suspended for a whole calendar month at a time. We do not prorate or do partial months of lessons except when you first register for the program. When you choose to suspend your account, your child will be removed from his/her class with no guarantee that the class will be available upon return.
- When you would like to return to SPA SwimAmerica after you suspend your account, please email your request to [email protected] and your account will be activated. Then you can simply enroll in an available class. There will be no additional registration fees as long as it falls within 12 months of your prior registration.
Photo Policy
- Photos are occasionally taken by staff at SwimAmerica classes and events. Any photo taken of your child may be used for SPA SwimAmerica purposes, including, but not limited to website, print brochures, or advertising for SPA SwimAmerica.
- In order to protect the privacy of every child at the pool, we ask that parents do not take videos or photographs during lessons.
- If you do not wish to have your child's photo taken, please email [email protected] as soon as possible.
Pool Deck Policy
- Due to insurance and liability reasons, only staff and registered lesson participants are allowed on the pool deck.
- Spectators (parents, grandparents, siblings, etc) are welcome to bring chairs and set up outside the fence. Parents are also welcome to wait in their vehicles, but are asked to be back outside the gate by the end of lesson time for pick up. Swimmers will not be able to leave the pool area without a parent or family member present.
- A staff member will let your swimmer know when it is time to come in the gate for lessons and get them to their coach. At the conclusion of lessons, your swimmer will meet you back at the gate.
