The Elko Anaconda Swim Team offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the Elko Anaconda Swim Team to offer age specific training for all of our athletes, geared toward challenging each swimmer and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

Registration Fees

     Elko Swim Team Registration Per Family

            $75 annually - includes $25 admin fee and a $50 volunteer fee.  The volunteer fee is returned at year end if 8 hours of volunteer time is completed by the family.  If volunteer hours are not met, fees gi directlyinto our scholarship fund.  Non refundable

     USA Swimming Registration Per Swimmer

            $78 annually - you will receive a SEPERATE LINK to register with USA Swimming after your team registration has been accepted.  No USA Swimming registrations can be completed before Sept 1st.  USA Swimming fees will be paid directly to USA Swimming

 

Monthly Dues (Oct through Aug - summer only rate available):

Copper- $70

Bronze- $75

Silver- $85

Gold- $95

 

Fundraising Obligation:

- $100 fundraising obligation, per swimmer, by June 30th.  There will be many opportunities to meet this obligation, however, if you choose not to participate in fundraising your account will be charged the amount not raised (up to $100 per swimmer), regardless of time spent on team.

Copper Group

Athletes in this group are the youngest and newest members to a competitive swim team. Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool without assistance. The focus will be on learning the 4 main strokes, having fun, and learning start techniques. Copper swimmers are expected to attend at least 1 swim meet per year. 

Copper Practice: 

Tues/Thur- 5:00-5:30

 

Bronze Group

 Bronze swimmers are typically beginning swimmers who have participated in at least 1 swim meet. Some are new to swimming, but have a swimming background, such as swim lessons. They may still be learning stroke technique. Athletes in this group focus mainly on learning 4 legal competitive strokes, having fun, and perfecting start and turn technique.  Bronze swimmers are expected to attend a minimum of 2 swim meets per year.  

Bronze Practice: Tues/Thur-5:30-6:15, Fri- 5:00-5:45


 

Silver Group

Athletes entering this group must display a desire to begin training on a more committed basis.  Training takes precedence over technique work for the first time in the athlete. Silver swimmers have at least 1 year of competitive experience and have learned all 4 strokes. Emphasis is on drills and technique, while adding some distance and endurance. Silver swimmers are expected to attend at least 3 swim meets per year.

Silver Practice: 

Mon/Wed Dryland- 4:30-4:45

Mon/Wed- 4:45-5:45

Tues/Thur- 6:15-7:30

Sat- 9:45-11:00

 

Gold Group

Athletes entering the Senior group must display a strong desire to perform at the highest level they are capable of. gold swimmers have at least 2 years of competitive swimming experience and have mastered all 4 strokes with competent technique. Training is geared toward individual talents, although a strong aerobic endurance factor is present. Athletes in the Senior group are directed toward qualifying for championship and Nevada State meets. Gold swimmers are expected to attend a minimum of 3 meets per year. 5 meets per year, swimming at least 3 different strokes per meet is necessary to earn a high school athletic letter (with additional requirements). 

Gold Practice: 

Mon through Fri - 3:00-5:00

Sat - 9:00-11:00

Mon/Wed Dryland- 5:00-5:20
