Sharks Swim Over 104 Miles!

Jeff and Terri Adams

Congratulations to our Sharks!

On Friday, March 8th, the Nampa Sharks spent two hours swimming back and forth at the Nampa Rec Center pool to complete their Annual Shark Attack!

As the cow bell rang in just under an hour, Cade Schaffer, a Mako swimmer who has been on the team for over 8 years, was the first to complete 100 laps.  Over the next hour, more bells rang as the 27 more swimmers completed the challenge of 200 lengths (100 laps) within the 2 hours time limit.  There were 40 swimmers in the pool and they swam a total of 3,663 laps, which is over 104 miles.

The athletes are now collecting pledges from their family and friends to earn individual prizes and if the team goal of $7,500 is met, those that participated with get a team pizza party!

Please turn in your pledges and prize sheets to Coach Sam by this Friday, March 15th.
