Chris Coghill Senior Head Coach
Senior Head Coach
Chris graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Economics, and Public Policy. Chris swam for St. Mary’s College of Maryland for four years; where he was team captain his last two years. Prior to coming to Austin, Chris was the Head Assistant Coach at Machine Aquatics, and was instrumental in the establishment of their new site at the University of Maryland.  In his two years with Machine Aquatics, the site at University of Maryland doubled in size, and saw swimmers achieve great success, from learning how to swim all four strokes legally, all the way to Olympic Trials cuts. Prior to his time with Machine Aquatics, Chris was also the Head Coach of the Braddock Heights Summer Swim Team in Frederick, MD for four years. In his free time, Chris enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities, including any adventure he and his dog can tackle together!

Coach Missy is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist by education and professional work background. Missy swam at the Ohio State University in college where she was team Captain for 2 years and competed at NCAA’s and US Nationals. In addition, for the last 20 years Missy has competed in triathlons and currently holds her Professional/Elite triathlete card. Missy has also been privileged to assist in the reintegration process with the Wounded Warrior Regiment at Camp Pendleton for the past 4 years as an assistant swimming and multisport coach at Marine Corps Trials, Warrior Games, and the Invictus Games in London.
Christian Schurr Gold 1, Senior 2 Coach

Christian earned All American honors swimming for the University of Texas and represented Mexico at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. While earning a degree in Kinesiology at UT, Christian competed for the United States in the World University Games in 2003 and the Pan American Games in 2007, where he earned a gold medal. After completing his degree, Christian swam professionally, competing in both the Short Course and Long Course World Championships in 2012 and 2013. Retiring from his career in competitive swimming, Christian turned to coaching the sport he loves, where he's applied his knowledge in assisting those he coaches in achieving their goals in, and out of the pool. Christian has helped individuals turn B cuts into multiple A times and faster, as well as those who have A times attain their TAGS cuts in multiple events. Most importantly, Christian wants those he coaches to improve while enjoying their swimming experience!
Nate Chessey Junior 2, Senior Coach

Coach Nate graduated with an MS in Sport Performance and a BA with a concentration in Sports Nutrition and has been involved with competitive swimming for the past 17 years. Upon completing four years of undergraduate work at University of North Carolina Wilmington, he went directly into Graduate School at Springfield College. While there, he coached with both the college team and local club team, worked closely with athletes of many different abilities, including Conference Champions, National Qualifiers, and Olympians. After Graduate School, Chessey took an assistant club coaching position in Houston, Texas, with a team of over 600 swimmers. While in Houston, he worked as an age group developer and along side the head coach to produce Senior National and Olympic Trails qualifiers. His last six years have been spent in sunny San Diego as an age group coach with another team of over 700+ swimmers. In addition to the continued tradition of excellence in the water, he's presented research projects and established network connections with the top performing programs in the US.
Jenn Radford Silver 2, Senior 3 Coach

Jenn earned her Master of Science in exercise science from Texas State University. Her love for coaching started at a young age when she began her first job teaching swim lessons. Since then she has continued to pursue her passion and has gained over 10 years of coaching experience in a wide variety of settings, from Special Olympics through the collegiate club level. During her time as an undergrad student, she continued her personal swimming career as an officer on Texas State's club team and later became involved in triathlons. She continues to love the water and if she's not on deck coaching, you can probably find her swimming! Jenn is excited to be able to continue doing what she loves at ASC and hopes to help every athlete she works with develop a stronger relationship with swimming that they will be able to carry with them for a lifetime.
Matthew Byrd Junior 1 Coach
Matt graduated with his Masters Degree in Sports Management from Georgetown earlier this summer while working in DC. Prior to Georgetown he swam at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, where he was a captain his senior year. He played a vital role in leading a campaign to save the team from being cut from the athletic department prior to his Senior year. After UNCW he came back to the DC area and coached a year at Machine Aquatics with Coach Chris and then two years at Nations Capital Swim Club. He has primarily worked with 11-14 year olds, but has experience assisting at all levels of the sport. Matt’s an avid triathlete, loves open water swimming and is huge Baltimore sports fan. 
Jackie Beal Part-Time Coach
Jackie grew up swimming in the Pacific Northwest, where she excelled at backstroke and IM from an early age. She took her talents to Whitworth University, where she became a captain, a national level competitor in her events, school record holder, and Northwest Conference Swimmer of the Year two years running. She graduated from Whitworth in three years with a B.A. in Health Science and worked in a physical therapy clinic until she was accepted to PT School at the University of St. Augustine. Jackie taught swim lessons through high school and college and has been lifeguard certified for just as long. She’s enthusiastic about each practice she coaches; you can find her in the gym helping with dryland, on deck alongside Coach Missy and Coach Jenn, in the pool during the early morning, or from time to time on the lifeguard stand.
Hayley Krzeczowski Strength and Conditioning Coach

Hayley earned her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from Iowa State University where she was also a four-year member of the Iowa State Women's swim team. While at Iowa State, Hayley earned NSCA All-American honors in strength and conditioning. Before coming to AASA, Hayley served as a sports performance coach in Park City, Utah working with a wide variety of athletes ranging from youth, to Paralympic, to professional. While in Utah, she also assisted in coaching the Park City High School swim team to a Utah State Championship. Hayley’s athletic training knowledge and swimming background led her to Austin where she is excited to enhance our strength and dryland programs.
Miles McGriff Strength and Conditioning Coach

Miles Graduated with a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas and has been in the fitness business for over 20 years now.  Since receiving his diploma, he has gone on to receive certifications from: NSCA, NASM, ACSM, TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) and PRI (Postural Restoration Institute).  Miles loves anything athletic that pushes the boundaries. Over the years he has been a mountain bike racer, competitive Crossfit athlete, ultra runner, triathlete, Olympic Lifting competitor, Spartan racer and much more. His passion is helping people change their lives through fitness.
