Practice Guidelines/Rules

In order to keep our swimmers, families and coaching staff save, we will be operation on a modified swim schedule and format.  During this time we will be exercising social distancing in the pool.  Practice hours will be from 6:00am - 10:00am, with 1 hour sessions and no more than 12 swimmers per session - two swimmers per lane stopping at opposite ends of the pool between sets.  As social distancing protocols are lifted we will increase that number.

Below are the guidelines/rules currently in place for practice sessions.  If you have any questions or want to discuss further, please email admin@cotaswim.com.

1) Scheduling is determined based on swimmer's abilities, i.e., they have been matched with other swimmers to ensure the 1 hour of practice is maximized.

2) With the exception of emergencies, if you or your swimmer is a NO SHOW to the scheduled practice time and do not provide 24 hour notice you/they will lose your spot for the same time the following week. Please notify us ASAP if you will not come to your scheduled time so that we can fill your time with another swimmer hoping to have more time in the pool.

3) Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the practice start time. This will allow time to get down to the staging area and ensure that you are IN THE POOL at your start time.  Please come prepared, as a start time of 7:00am means you are in the pool and starting your warm up promptly at 7:00am.

3) Entry/exit protocol:

 a)  Because we will have 2 people per lane, and more waiting on the pool deck for their practice time,  please see the staging layout  on the Lane Assignment tab,

  b) Wet bags are allowed (DO NOT BRING DRY BAGS)
