Samantha has been coaching competitive swimming since 2006. She grew up in San Antonio, after graduating from high school she received a coaching position at Alamo Area Aquatics and maintained that position throughout college. In 2011 she moved to Austin and worked with Great Hills Country Club to set up Great Hills Aquatic Rush. She loves working with all ages from 3 year old swimming lessons through high school and adult athletes. She constantly incorporates Crossfit methodology into dry land programming for the swim team.

Coach Sam Connors grew up in Austin, Texas and comes from a decorated swim career.  She competed for Austin Country Club, then joined her first club team at age 8, continuing on to swim for westlake high school, earning a full ride to UT Austin. She earned spots on team USA’s travel team for competitions across the world during her teenage years. Her passion and love of sport, lead her to earn a bachelors degree in kinesiology, a minor in psychology, and further, a masters in health education and health behavior. She began helping coach young children at the Texas swim camp during college, which led her to coach her former club team, Longhorn Aquatics. She currently operates a triathlon training team at Austin T3, and our club swimmers here at RUSH!

Kaelyn Mott Assistant Coach

Age: 22

Primary Events: 100 back, 200 free

Favorite Sports Team: Dallas Cowboys!

Kaelyn grew up in Austin, Texas and began swimming at age 7. She swam for a few different club swim teams and eventually ended up joinin the RUSH swim team! Kaelyn was captain of the Anderson High School Swim Team in 2016 and 2017. In 2015, she began teaching swim lessons after lifeguarding, which led to coaching the RUSH team. Since graduation, Kaelyn attended Texas State University for 2 years before she transferre to Concordia University. Kaelyn plans to graduate in April 2022 to pursue her dreams of becoming a pedatric nurse!

Kendal Mott Assistant Coach

Age: 18

Primary Events: 100 free, 100 breast, 200 free

Favorite Sports Team: Dallas Cowboys

Kendal grew up in Austin, Texas and began swimming for RUSH at age 7! In 2019, she began lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons. Kendal soon fell in love with teaching children all different levels of swimming. Soon after, she began coaching the RUSH swim team! Kendal graduates from Anderson High School in June 2022. Kendal will attend Tarleton State University in the fall to pursue a degree in nursing.
