CAA Lakeway Summer Clinics - Starting June 27, 2022

Registration will open on June 1, 2022.

The Capital Area Aquatics at Lakeway Summer Clinic is a great program for swimmers ages 6-12 who were not able to register with the Lakeway Lakers summer league team, for new swimmers to our program, and for returning Guppy and Bronze CAA-Lakeway swimmers who have finished summer league and want to continue swimming through the summer. You'll work with our professional coaching staff and in a small group, and finish each session with a mini-meet. This is a perfect opportunity for summer league and new swimmers to "test the waters" before joining the CAA-Lakeway year-round swim team in the fall.

This is not a learn-to-swim program or a substitute for swim lessons. All swimmers must meet the minimum swimming eligibility requirements, which is to be independent in the water, to swim one lap (25 yards) of basic freestyle, unassisted, and to be able to float on their back and kick. It is fine if they don't have legal strokes or need to rest for a few seconds by holding the lane line. However, they must be able to demonstrate the fundamentals of putting their face in the water, moving arms, kicking, etc. The clinics will work on stroke development, fitness, and endurance; but they are NOT a substitute for swim lessons.

To register, click the registration link for the session (below--starting June 1), scroll down the page that opens, click the Continue or Check Status button, and then follow the instructions to register for Lakeway Summer Clinic when adding an athlete. Please register using your existing Capital Area Aquatics (or Lost Creek Aquatics) login, if you have one. If you do not have a CAA account, you will be asked to create one using your email address and a password. (Please note: Your Lakeway Lakers team login will not work on the CAA site; you will need to create a new account.) You may participate in one or both sessions through the summer.

Please note the following:

  • You do not need to do an evaluation first. However, for safety reasons, we reserve the right to excuse swimmers from the program who cannot meet the swimming eligibility requirements. (In this case, we will offer a refund, less processing fees.)
  • Classes are subject to a minimum number of swimmers and we may cancel classes that do not meet the minimum number of swimmers and/or adjust the practice times for groups based on signups. If there are changes to the posted groups and/or schedules, we will let you know at least two days prior to the classes.
  • Due to the limited size of this program, once registered, there are no refunds for any reason, or switching sessions. Once a group is fully enrolled, it will close automatically.

Dates: Classes are Monday through Thursday at the Lakeway Swim Center, 10:30-11:15am -- (registration opens June 1)

  • Session 1: June 27 to July 14 (registration link will appear here on June 1)
  • Session 2: July 18 to August 10 (registration link will appear here on July 1)

To get the most out of this program, kids should come every day, but this is not a requirement. Swimmers may register for one or multiple sessions.

Cost: $135.00 per swimmer, per session

Please note that this fee is not prorated, even if you are unable to participate for the entire session.

Note: If your child is NOT already registered with USA Swimming for 2022, then we will also need a copy of your child's birth certificate or passport. If your swimmer is already a member of USA Swimming for 2022, you won't need to provide a birth certificate/passport.

Your registration is not complete until we receive payment in full and a copy of your child’s birth certificate or passport (for NEW members of USA Swimming only) or a transfer form (for swimmers who are members of another USA Swimming club and need to transfer their existing USA Swimming membership).
