Aquatex Swim Team in Round Rock, TX, is searching for two age-group coaches to assist with our age group programs. An Assistant Head Coach, and an Assistant Coach

Head Assistant Coach position is Monday through Saturdays, 4-6 hours per day, with swim meets on certain weekends. The start date is as soon as possible. Compensation: This will be a salaried position, and will be based on experience and qualifications.

Assistant Coach position is part time, 5 days a week and 2 hours per day. Meet coaching opportunities are also available. The start date is as soon as possible. Compensation: Hourly pay ranges from $20-$25 per hour and will be based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend daily workouts and swim meets as assigned by the Head Coach
  • Work with the Head Coach to develop and implement seasonal, weekly, and daily training plans for the group
  • Teach and train the swimmers in proper stroke techniques and racing strategies as appropriate for the age and developmental level of the group
  • Develop and maintain healthy relationships with the swimmers and their parents
  • Participate fully in group practices including both dryland and in-water activities
  • Maintain daily attendance records for the group

Qualifications include:

  • Prior coaching or competitive swimming experience
  • Current in USA Swimming required certifications (CPR, Safety Training for Swim Coaches, Athlete Protection, Concussion Protocol Training, Background check, Coaches Advantage Training, Foundations of Coaching) or the ability to obtain the certifications.

Circle C Select Swim Team (South Austin) seeks Age-Group Coach

Circle C Select Swim Team located at the Circle C Ranch community in South Austin, is searching for an age-group coach to assist with our age group programs. The position is part time, 6 days a week and approximately 3 hours per day. Meet coaching opportunities are also available. The anticipated start date is September 6, 2022.

Responsibilities

  • Attend daily workouts and swim meets as assigned by the Head Coach
  • Work with the Head Coach to develop and implement seasonal, weekly, and daily training plans for the group
  • Teach and train the swimmers in proper stroke techniques and racing strategies as appropriate for the age and developmental level of the group
  • Develop and maintain healthy relationships with the swimmers, their parents and other coaching staff
  • Participate fully in group practices and activities
  • Maintain daily attendance records for the group using OnDeck
  • Follow all HOA Covid guidelines for being on deck
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

  • Prior high school and club coaching or competitive swimming experience
  • Current in USA Swimming required certifications: CPR, Safety Training for Swim Coaches, Athlete Protection, Concussion Protocol Training, Background check, Coaches Advantage Training, Foundations of Coaching, MAAPP 2.0 and/or the ability to obtain the certifications.

Location:
We train at the Circle C HOA Swim Center, 5919 La Crosse Ave, Austin, Tx 78739. An outside Olympic size 25 yd x 50 meter pool.

Compensation:
Hourly pay ranges from $20-$25 per hour and will be based on experience and qualifications.

Great Hills Country Club, Austin, TX - RUSH Assistant Swim Coach

GENERAL SUMMARY
Coaches individuals and groups regarding competitive swimming activities; explains and demonstrates proper use of equipment; instructs athletes in proper competitive swimming techniques; observes athletes to detect and correct mistakes; organizes, attends, documents and conducts competitive events.

SUPERVISION
General supervision is provided by the Head Coach.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. All behaviors comply with the conduct and behavior outlined in the GHCC Employee Handbook and the GHCC Rules and Standards
  2. Coaches athletes in swimming activities; instructs athletes on proper swimming form and techniques; observes athletes to detect and correct mistakes; provides feedback on performance.
  3. Coordinates swimming competitive events; organizes swimmers and ensures attendance at events; and assists with facilitating swimmers entry and participation in events.
  4. Respond to and resolve difficult and sensitive member inquiries and complaints.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Education – High school diploma or GED
  2. Experience – One year's experience teaching or coaching swimming
  3. Licenses and Certifications - Possession of a valid Class C Texas driver's license
  4. Licensed Lifeguard Instructor (LGI)

Lone Star Aquatics - Round Rock, TX - Age Group Coach

Lone Star Aquatics is hiring an age group swim coach at its Round Rock location 1812 N Mays Street, who is also able to work at our Strength Training facility at 15508 Bratton Ln Unit 625 Austin, TX 78728.

As an assistant coach, you will be part of our 8-week training program where you learn the many ins and outs of our program. LSAC invests heavily in training its Coaches to create exceptional experiences that embody our culture.

New hires receive their initial training from our Head Coach while receiving mentorship from our meet directors, officials and board of directors. Every new hire receives Strength Training assessment from our HR and On-boarding representative. Our goal is to best integrate your skills into our culture. During our on boarding process, you will be introduced to:

LSAC has been a USA Swimming member club since 1989 and has swimmers ranging from 5-18. We are small yet refined team with over 200 swimmers. Our goal is to provide a route for every swimmer to swim in college and we are looking for the best candidate to help us achieve this goal.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current USA Swimming coach credentials or the ability to become certified within two weeks of hire
  • College degree in Sport Related field preferred
  • Coaching experience with a USA Swimming member club or the equivalent coaching experience in another sport
  • Competitive swimming experience as an athlete is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Experience working with Team Unify is preferred
  • Ability to travel to swim meets within Texas
  • Passion for the sport and for working with swimmers of all ages and abilities
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude

On Deck hours are from 3:30-6pm Monday through Friday. Strength Training Hours vary throughout the year and we are able to work around your schedule.
