SWIMMING & DIVING

As a member of the University Interscholastic League Tomball participates in swimming at the 5A level in district 21-5A. Our district includes Huntsville, Magnolia, Magnolia West, Montgomery, Montgomery Lake Creek, Tomball, Waller, and Willis high schools.   


WATER POLO

Tomball also participates in TISCA level high school water polo in Houston Region 3 district 23. Our district includes Conroe, Klein Collins, Oak Ridge, The Woodlands College Park, The Woodlands, Tomball. 


Since the beginning, Tomball has had a successful swimming program with kids competing as high as the UIL State Meet in both the 5A and 6A division.  Members of our team participate in the UIL varsity district meet and regional meet each season. 

We offer two athletic periods for our swimmers. Most swimmers who participate in club level swimming or have transportation choose to practice in the morning before school and during 1st period. Swimmers who prefer to practice in the evening practice 7th period and after school. 

Varsity swimmers typically have previous swimming training and are able to swim all four strokes. They should have the ability to participate in interval training successfully. 

Sub-varsity red level swimmers typically have previous training and are able to swim all four strokes. They should have the ability to participate in interval training successfully. 

Sub-varsity white level swimmers typically do not have a swimming background and meet minimum safety requirements.

Divers typically have a background in diving or gymnastics. In order to be a diver, students must be willing and able to use a 1-meter springboard to complete acrobatics. Practice is only offered in the evening and during 7th period.
