Board Elections

Iman Khadembashi

Dear TSM Families,

I wanted to send a quick note to thank all of you for your high-level of participation and engagement in TSM in what has already been an incredibly busy and exciting 2019, and to make you all aware of our upcoming elections.

What a great year so far…

  • Our TSM Swim-a-thon last month was a great success (you can still donate!);

  • The Olympic Training Center trip was a fantastic experience for those who went;

  • “Get WET,” a new child water safety program spear-headed by Board Member Rufus Williams, kicked-off and has been extremely well-received;

  • We are actively preparing for the annual TSM Banquet on May 12;

  • And all this while maintain disciplined and world-class training at our home pool!

Our program is active and thriving, and that’s because we have participation from our parents. In addition to activities like those listed above and many others throughout the year, another way for our parents to engage with TSM is through the Election of Directors.

Each year TSM families elect members to fill open positions on the TSM Board of Directors. This year we have two open positions, each with 3-year terms beginning on September 1. Nominations are now open, and will close on May 23rd.

Election by electronic ballot will follow, and the results will be announced at the Annual Meeting to be held In June this year. If you would like to nominate someone, or be considered as a candidate yourself, please reach out to any current board member including me ([email protected]) and your interest will be forwarded to the Election Committee.
Board members are active members in good standing with TSM. They play a role on team policy and often act as a liaison between the parent body and the Board.  Most importantly board members are Moms and Dads just like you who care about the future of the program.

Check out the TSM website to see short bios and contact information for the current board members ( under “Coaches,” upper left-hand corner). Please feel free to reach out to any board member you see. We welcome any inquiry and would be happy to speak with you about the process and what the commitment entails.

I look forward to seeing you all at the Banquet on May 12th,  please look out for the invitation.
