 CCCAN Swimmers on the Go

CCCAN sends best wishes for success in their endevours to three CCCAN swimmers
and also to two other swimmers from the Americas.
FINA Vice President, Dale Neuburger, who is responsible for the FINA Development
programme and who continues to tirelessly and selflessly work with CCCAN President
Errol Clarke to assist the CCCAN federations in particularly, reported as follows:
I have the pleasure to tell you that three swimmers from CCCAN National Federations
have been selected as participants in the new FINA Scholarship Programme (an
element of the FINA Development Programme).
Each of the swimmers is within 3% of the “B” standard in his/her event for the FINA
World Championships in Kazan, and therefore, will have a chance to train in a high
performance center with the hope of achieving this time standard by the end of the
qualification period.
Each of the CCCAN athletes will train in the USA, utilizing FINA funding…another
great partnership between the USA and CCCAN.

The swimmers are:

Ken Barcinas (GUA) - Spire Institute, USA
Mikel Schreuders (ARU) - Spire Institute, USA
Marcelo Acosta (ESA) - Spire Institute, USA

Also, two “friends of CCCAN” were also accepted for participation.
Zuhayr Pigot (SUR) - TBC
Esnaider Reales (COL) - Desmor TC, Portugal

Another CCCAN success story under its astute President Errol Clarke!
