Coach Corey has been involved in swimming for over 30 years as an athlete, coach and official. As a junior athlete, Corey has been an Australian Age Group National medalist both as a swimmer and as an open water Surf Lifesaving competitor. In 2008, Corey competed in the World Championships as a member of the USA National Surf Lifesaving team and is also a multiple-time USLA National champion and medalist. As a masters swimmer, Corey has won the Pan American Championships in the 1km open water swim and the famed Chicago Big Shoulders open water swim, held in Lake Michigan. Corey has a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education & Health Science. 






Coach Chris was born and raised in the Daytona Beach area. He loves being with his family and traveling. He has been a Volusia County Lifeguard, a Competitive Surfer and a Regional Qualifier CrossFit Games (3x). Chris has been involved in competitive swimming for 10 years. Most recently he has been a Stroke & Turn Official for 4 years, a Starter Official for 2 years and a Hydro4 coach for 2 years. He has worked at Brown & Brown for 26 years. Chris and his wife (26 years!) and 2 children live in Ponce Inlet. 






Coach Scott is the 2016 USMS Coach of the Year and an ASCA Level 5 Certified Coach. He has been actively coaching and teaching swimming since 1986 at a variety of levels. Scott moved to Florida in the 1990s and took to coaching High School swimmers and Masters swimmers. Throughout a career that includes teaching swim lessons, coaching Age Groupers, and Senior Swimmers, as well as Triathletes and adults, Scott has taught literally thousands how to swim or how to swim better. He has also written numerous articles on technique and coaching for both websites and publications in addition to being a major contributor to the revised Master's Certification curriculum and presents at clinics across the country. 






Coach Jordan specializes in developing stroke skills for all age ranges of swimmers. Jordan brings five years of competitive swim coaching experience to our team. Jordan graduated from Stetson University. You can find Coach Jordan coaching and developing our white and blue swim teams at our Port Orange and Ormond locations. 






Coach Joe has been coaching in the Volusia area for 3 years now and had a big part in the early success in our age group program in Ormond. He brings high energy to practices and great with younger swimmers. Joe currently coaches our White group at the Ormond Beach Family YMCA.






Coach Tom has over 20+ years in coaching the sport of swimming. He is the United States Lifeguard Association Competition Manager. He was the assistant senior age group coach for Daytona Beach Speed. Coach Tom also assisted in coaching the Spruce Creek High School. He currently coaches our Seniors & Masters group at the Port Orange Family YMCA.




Coach Sam is a former breaststroke and IM specialist for the University of Massachusetts. Coach Sam works with swimmers of all skill levels maintaining a focus on technique and building aerobic capacity. Sam is also a Volusia County lifeguard and competes with the VSLA competition team. 







Coach Lisa started competing in swimming at the age of 12; teaching swimming at the age of 15; and coaching at 19. She has coached age group, high school and US Masters on and off since that time, including during her 40 years with teh FBI. Coach LIsa swam in high school and college and continued swimming US Masters starting at the age of 25. During that time, she earned several FINA world records and USMS national records in her breaststroke events; and over 200 Top Ten times in all USMS events, including open water. She was on the winning open water team for several Lake Tahoe and Catalina Channel races.
