Monthly Training Fees

Monthly training fees are due monthly and will be billed between the 1st and 15th of each month on your Swim Account. These fees pay for coaches and pool space.  For each additional family member, Swim Melbourne provides a $10 discount off of the first swimmer’s monthly training fee. 

Annual Membership

All team members are required to register annually with the club.  The membership fee is due at time of registration for new swimmers and billed in December for returning swimmers. This annual fee includes USA Swimming Registration ($75) and a donation to the Swim Melbourne Foundation ($50) that helps pay for meet travel, team apparel, and team social events. All Swim Melbourne members must be registered with USA Swimming. USA Swimming membership runs for the calendar year. If you are joining Swim Melbourne during the summer, a seasonal USA Swimming membership is available.

USA Swimming is one of 47 National Governing Bodies of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC). It is the governing entity for competitive swimming in the United States and responsible for selecting the Olympic Team and National Teams that compete internationally. USA Swimming is composed of 59 Local Swimming Committees (LSCs) across the country, and each one is organized as a miniature of the USA Swimming framework.  There are more than 300,000 registered swimmers in this country; representing more than 4,000 local clubs in the 59 LSCs. LSCs accomplish their goals through the efforts of local swimming clubs, such as Swim Melbourne. Each club is an independent entity, voluntarily bound by the rules and regulations of the Florida Swimming LSC and USA Swimming. Swim Melbourne belongs to Florida Swimming LSC.

Swim Meet Fees

In addition to training fees, each swimmer is responsible for their meet entry fees for meets in which they enter. Fees charged for meets are charged per entered event and will be billed on your Swim Team account.  Swim Melbourne will attend on average one swim meet per month throughout the year based on seasonal availability.
