September 7, 2019 Coral Springs, Florida Congratulations to Eric Williams for qualifying for US Nationals! Eric is Swim Melbourne’s first National qualifier! On Saturday, Eric Williams swam the 50 Freestyle in 20.49. That time qualifies him for US Nationals! Eric will represent Swim Melbourne at US Nationals in Atlanta, GA this December and is aiming to qualify for US Olympic Trials in 2020. He's looking very fast!! #mahistrong #olympics

Swim Melbourne would like to welcome our new Masters coach—Coach BJ! Coach BJ is a US Masters Swimming Level 2 Coach and a lifelong swimmer. He started his swim career right here in Brevard County (under Coach Terry Schlichenmaier) and then went on to swim at Indian River State College and University of Florida. After college, BJ began racing triathlons, USMS meets, and open-water races. Meet Swim Melbourne, a USA Swimming team destined to reignite the sport of competitive swimming in Brevard County.  Destiny turned into reality.  Truly, two dreams in parallel brought it to life —one right here in Brevard County and the other in South Florida.  Here in Brevard, Mike Mirda—FAU freestyle sprinter (and Satellite Scorpion alum)—and his wife Kristin Mirda—a University of Richmond swimmer—just found out they were having a baby, when the weighty question popped up:  “Where will our kids swim?”  Both grew up as competitive swimmers in swim towns longing for...

Swim Melbourne will hold its Opening Day kick-off December 1st from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at the Satellite High School pool.  Coaches John Walsh, Brie Nederlanden, and Mike Mirda will be on deck.  Meet the coaches, learn about our program, register for the club, and dive into the pool for some fun. Bring your swimsuits and goggles!
