Swim Melbourne would like to welcome our new Masters coach—Coach BJ!  Coach BJ is a US Masters Swimming Level 2 Coach and a lifelong swimmer.  He started his swim career right here in Brevard County (under Coach Terry Schlichenmaier) and then went on to swim at Indian River State College and University of Florida.  After college, BJ began racing triathlons, USMS meets, and open-water races.  A few of his achievements include:  1996 NJCAA National Champion in 100 Yard Butterfly, USA Swimming Senior National qualifier, IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships, USAT All-American, and  Masters Age Group National Champion.  What is unique about Coach BJ is he has had success at both sprint and long-distance races throughout his career.  BJ also operates a swim/triathlon private training company, where he trains all levels of athletes—from beginner to world-class.  Check him out at www.swimcoachbj.com.  Coach BJ is a master in the sport of the swimming and purely loves to coach.  We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Coach BJ on the Mahi team!
