CHRISTUS Louisiana Aquatic Club offers training groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of CLA to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

WHITE Group
Developmental:
This is for the youngest swimmers (4-6 yr olds) just starting the sport.  Instructors are in the water with
the swimmers, teaching basic swim techniques and water safety.  Group size is small and the perfect place to begin!
(FALL) Workout Days/Times (@ CLAC): Tuesday, Thursday 3:30-4:00pm

WHITE 1:

Entry level group for 12&under swimmers and best for those new to swimming as a year round sport.  In this group, swimmers are introduced to all 4 strokes, turns, starts and meet preparation.  Beginning with streamline and kicking, we progress through the strokes throughout the year, always trying to make it challenging and fun!  Swimmers are encouraged to attend 1-2 meets a year.
Equipment requirements: Competition suits for girls & boys, goggles, cap for girls

WHITE 2:
This group is geared for 13&Over swimmers and best for those who simply enjoy swimming as a sport as well as high school swimmers interested in swimming for a portion of the year.  In this group, swimmers are introduced to all 4 strokes, turns, starts and meet preparation.  We begin with the basics and progress through the strokes throughout the year.  Swimmers are encouraged to attend 1-2 meets a year.  We offer Off Campus PE options as well.

SILVER Group
SILVER 1: 

This group is for the 12&Under swimmer that has experience swimming and competing as a year round sport and understand basic swim training routines. The practice focus is stroke technique for all 4 strokes as well as turns, starts and meet preparation.  We work hard and have fun!  Coaches strongly encourage practice and swim meet attendance.

SILVER 2:
Swimmers in this group have made a commitment to the sport and desire to improve meet performance.  Stroke technique is always the focus but meet preparation and training to compete is an increasing component.  Competition at swim meets is expected in this group. Introduction to Dryland as a part of training begins here.
Mandatory requirements and expectations: Bring all equipment to practice, State Meet attendance, Swim September - July.

PURPLE Group
Senior PURPLE:
This is a Senior training group for 13&Over swimmers.  Athletes must display a strong desire to perform at the highest level.  Training is geared towards individual talents, although a strong aerobic endurance factor is present.  Dryland, flexibility and introduction to strength training is an important component to training.  
Mandatory requirements and expectations: Swimmers swim September - July, including all meets both local and championship.  Travel and training trip attendance is also required.
