To help swimmers remember their lane assignments, or figure out who to contact to propose a permanent or temporary swap, we are posting the Lane Assignment chart on the website and circulating it by email. Click here: Lane Assignments for Summer Workouts During 1-per-lane Phase Some workouts have 9 swimmers assigned. Whenever all 9 show up, swimmers will take turns sitting out for 6 minutes, and will move away from the group while waiting to get back in.

For our last swim group In the morning we’ve been asked to have our people put their stuff on the opposite side of the pool and exit out the back gate. This way the younger swimmers can enter the pool area without crossing paths with us.

By the end of today, we will have filled all 80 lanes per week for our summer workouts. Swimmers will be locked into to these specific workouts unless they arrange to trade places with someone. We have overbooked by 1 swimmer per workout on the theory that there will usually be a no-show swimmer. If not, 9 swimmers will participate by having each swimmer take turns sitting out for about 6 minutes. The lane assignments will be circulated shortly.

Don't register until you get the email inviting you to, but we expect to begin summer workouts on Wednesday, July 1st. We plan to start at Darnestown Swim and Racquet Club until we can move to Quince Orchard Swim and Tennis Club on or about July 6th. Again, do not register until you get an email inviting you to. We have limited lanes and don't want anyone to pay prematurely and not find an opening that suits them.

Quince Orchard is not open yet. Repairs and improvements are being made to pass inspection. More news when we have it. As soon as we can have 2 swimmers per lane we expect to get almost all interested swimmers in the water for some workouts. When we can have 3 we should be able to get all swimmers in, for as many workouts per week as desired. Right now we're at 1 swimmer per lane. The summer schedule, which is slightly different from the 2019 schedule, is posted on the...
