Here's the meet info and entry link for the 2023 Albatross Open, Saturday afternoon, March 18th, in Bethesda: ALBATROSS OPEN Hosted by Montgomery Ancient Mariners. Once again we hope to put lots of relays in. This is a great meet, and good for 1st-time competitors.

Three individuals and one relay had national top ten times in 2022, including one #1, for long course (meters). Jeanne Lappin (W65-69) was 4th in the 50 fly, 5th in the 200 IM, and 7th in the 100 back. Michael Wong (M18-24) was 1st (All American status) in the 200 back, 4th in the 100 back, and 8th in the 200 free. Bryan Rivera (M35-39) was 3rd in the 800 and 1500 free, and 6th in the 400 free. 1. SOLSTICE Thanks to the many volunteers who contributed to making the 9th Annual Solstice meet a success. Thanks especially to Meet Director David Robinson. GERM swimmer Caren Bancroft -- now living in Georgia -- had an amazing half day in Chattanooga last weekend. Caren finished 3rd of 76 women 50-54. Her sub-12-hour time also held up well over all ages, as she was 54th out of 472 women, and 307th out of 1594 over all.

FINA has officially recognized world record swims at the December 4th Solstice Meet by Olympian Rick Collella (Puget Sound Masters) and Club Tribe's Women's 200m Medley Relay (Susan Williams, Kristen Harris, Margaret Conze, and Fall Willeboordse).
