The Huntington Swim Club offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. GOLD LEVEL 

 

Monday 6:00-8:00 pm and Tuesday-thru-Friday 5:00-7:00 pm (3-5 days recommended)

 

This group is focused on swimming at the highest level. Swimmers will participate in drylands. Emphasis is placed on refining technique, improving swim times, and building endurance. Typically reserved for high school swimmers or those moving up from Level 2 at the coach's discretion. Swimmers are encouraged to participate in competitive meets.

  

 

SILVER LEVEL 

 

Monday 6:00-7:00 pm and Tuesday-thru-Friday 5:30-6:30 pm  (3-5 days recommended)

 

This level is designed for those moving up from Level 3.  Emphasis is placed on improving and legalizing stroke techniques and starts and turns.  Swimmers must be able to swim all four strokes and perform dive starts and appropriate turns effectively.  Swimmers will learn how to use the clock and prepare for more technical practices.  Swimmers are encouraged to participate in competitive meets.

  

 

BRONZE LEVEL

Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 5:30-6:15 pm

 

Beginners: Swimmers must meet with our coach and demonstrate swimming abilities such as swimming full 25-yard pool without stopping, treading water, etc. This level is intended for novice swimmers wanting to understand all four strokes.  Emphasis is placed on developing strokes, starts and turns, and basic swim competition rules in a fun and encouraging environment. 

 

 

ADULT SWIMMING - GOLD LEVEL

 

Monday 6:00-8:00 pm and Tuesday-thru-Friday 5:00-7:00 pm

 

This group is focused on training and swimming at the highest level. Swimmers may participate in drylands (first half hour, Mon-Wed-Fri). Emphasis is placed on refining technique, improving swim times, and building fitness and endurance. Adults must be able to swim 500 yards in 10 minutes or under and be proficient in 3 of the 4 competitive swimming strokes (freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and/or butterfly).
