Head Coach

Deni Cullom

Deni has been coaching for 10 years, 6 of which have been in Salt Lake City.  During this, he has produced a swimmer ranked #1 in the country in an event, 8 swimmers with AAAA National Age Group Time Standards, and his swimmers have broken over 30 state records. In 2020, he was named in the Top 50 Age Group Coaches in the country by the American Swim Coaches Association and has been nominated for Utah Age Group Coach of the Year three times.

During his own competitive career, he represented the Mission Viejo Nadadores and was a member of the 2008, 2009, and 2010 US Open Water National Teams.  He won a bronze medal at the 2009 Open Water World Cup in Roberval, Canada, has a National Title in the 5k Open Water, three 18&Under National Titles, and holds multiple local records in both the pool and open water.

Senior Coach Kleo Kobe

Kleo grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. She swam for Eagle Aquatic Team, Skyline High School, and Occidental College in Los Angeles, California. She now swims for a local Masters club. Kleo began coaching in 2012 and has since coached rec-league, age-group, high school, and Masters swimmers. Kleo’s goals are to help swimmers improve their strokes and achieve their goals while promoting a positive and inclusive environment. When she is not at the pool, Kleo enjoys reading, cooking, and getting outside with her dog.

Age Group Coach Elise Beller

Elise grew up in Park City, Utah, where she swam for Park City Swimming, then transferred to Swim Utah her sophomore year of high school. She swam at many sectional meets, achieving a junior national qualifying time, and was named a Scholastic All-American in 2019.   She swam for Park City High School all 4 years, earning 13 state championships and was captain of the team her senior year. Elise, now a junior, swims for the University of Utah in the Pac-12 conference, where she has competed at the Pac-12 championships every year, making finals in the 400 IM, 200 breaststroke, and mile.  She is in the process of pursuing her undergraduate degree in psychology, with a biology minor, and plans to attend nursing school after the University of Utah.  Outside of the pool, she loves to run, hike, and bake! She will be coaching the junior group.  

Age Group Coach Sam Buker

Samantha Buker swam for Hilltop Aquatics and American Fork High School where she qualified for sectionals in the 200 breaststroke and 500 freestyle. She is currently a student at Weber State University majoring in integrated studies
