757swim Parent and Swimmer Education

The 757swim coaching staff works together with our swimmers and families to ensure we are all educated on the sport of competitive swimming.

Breakout Sessions occur outside of practice. Throughout the season, coaches and guest speakers present Breakout Sessions on a variety of topics of interest to parents and/or swimmers. These sessions are also opportunities to bring the 757swim family together not only to learn and grow, but to socialize and support one another. Recent topics have included:

  • The College Recruiting Process with Matt Crispino (W&M Head Swim Coach)
  • Mental Edge Mindset with Deidre Connelly (W&M Sport Psychology Consultant)
  • Common Swim Injuries and How to Avoid Them (CHKD Sports Medicine)

Chalk Talks occur during practice when coaches take time to educate swimmers on topics ranging from team culture and sportsmanship to nutrition and physiology.
