The Green Group is geared toward new, entry-level, younger swimmers. There are three different groups within the Green Group allowing for more one-on-one instruction and coaching based on skill level and age.

Swimmers should be able to safely and legally complete a lap of freestyle and backstroke and have a basic understanding of the motions of breaststroke and butterfly (however modifications might need to be made for the legality of the stroke).

Objectives: Swimmers in this group will focus on body movement for each of the strokes, core coordination and movement drills for long axis (free/back), and short axis (fly/breast), and fundamentals of starts, streamlining off walls, finishes, and introduction to freestyle flip turn.

Practice time: 1 hour (Excluding Dryland) Swimmers are encouraged to attend 2-3 practices a week.

Necessary Equipment: Goggles, Cap, Fins, kickboard (mesh bag recommended)

Green Group Coach: Elizabeth Ward, Eric Zank ([email protected]), Hanna Pennington
